Local BBB Selected as One of the Best Nonprofit
Organizations to Work For 2011
BBB Recognized for Commitment to Excellence in the Workplace
Austin, TX - April 8, 2011 - BBB serving Central, Coastal and
Southwest Texas was recently selected as one of the Best NonProfit Organizations to
Work For 2011 by The NonProfit Times and Best Companies Group.
This nationwide survey and awards
program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of
employment in the nonprofit industry, benefiting the industry's economy, its workforce
and businesses. The Best NonProfit Organizations to
Work For 2011 list is made up of 50 organizations. BBB serving Central, Coastal and Southwest
Texas has been selected as one of the organizations and is ranked as the 29th
best nonprofit organization to work for nationwide.

Organizations from across the nation
entered the two-part process to determine the Best NonProfit Organizations to
Work For 2011. The first part
consisted of evaluating each nominated organization's workplace policies,
practices, and demographics. This part
of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee
survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth
approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top
organizations and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall
registration and survey process in the United States and also analyzed the data
and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.
BBB serving Central, Coastal and
Southwest Texas was profiled and ranked in The
NonProfit Times April 1, 2011 issue. The award is the second of its kind as
BBB serving Central, Coastal, and Southwest Texas was also honored as one of Austin’s
Top Workplaces in 2010 by the Austin American Statesman.
